3-D Leprechaun Craft for St. Patrick's Day

How cute are these 3-D leprechauns featured by Rachelle over at What the Teacher Wants?!? And the best part about this craft is that you probably already have everything you will need on hand.

Materials

12" circle pattern

Manila paper

Green, Red, White and Blue construction paper

Yellow, Orange and Brown construction paper (for hair)

Pencils

Scissors

Glue

Instructions

Have each student start by tracing the 12" circle pattern onto the manila paper (you may want to have a few circle patterns available). Then have them cut out the circle and then into the center of the circle (along the radius) with one straight line. Overlap the manila paper at the cut radius until a pointed 'nose' appears and glue the pieces together.

Once the hard part of creating the 3-D effect is complete, turn your students loose to create their very own leprechaun! Here are a few examples from the cute creations in Rachelle's class:
