How often do you stop and think about the things you use on a daily basis - clothing, technology, ingredients for your favorite meal, etc. - and wonder who thought them up? Even peanut butter had to be invented by someone! That someone was the prominent African American inventor and botanist, George Washington Carver, who, along with his agricultural achievements and groundbreaking research in plant biology, is best known for the many uses he devised for the peanut!

We found some great resources to help you and your preschoolers learn a little bit more about this important historical figure.
