In the same vein as yesterday's post, we found another activity over at 3 Dinosaurs {created by the talented Cassie!} that will help your kiddos strengthen visual discrimination and learn to distinguish between objects of different sizes. While they won't be sorting physical cards or three-dimensional objects, in essence, your preschoolers will be grouping the shapes on the page; first, determining whether the image falls into the category of small, medium, or large, and then checking the key and coloring the apple in with the corresponding color. The best part is Cassie provides the activity worksheet for free at her blog!

With its cutesy apple theme, we know this exercise would go great with your back-to-school or fall/Johnny Appleseed Day lesson plans! Be sure to visit 3 Dinosaurs for the download!
