Mix & Match Easter Egg Patterning

Spring and Easter Math Kindergarten Lesson Plan

Check out this Easter patterning exercise from Fun & Engaging Activities for Toddlers! A colorful way to update your math center for the Easter holiday, we love this activity because it is super simple to put together and offers a great way to build fine motor skills, practice color recognition, and review early math skills!

As an extension, to continue developing visual discrimination, reuse your mix and match patterning cards in a memory/matching game. Simply create two of each card (or make color copies of the cards), lay the cards face down on a flat surface, and invite your kiddos to take turns attempting to make matches. As Becca recommends creating a distinction between top and bottom pieces in your drawings/cards, this will add an extra challenge to finding matches!
