Easter and Spring Animal Sorting Kindergarten Lesson Plan

We recently stumbled across this fabulous blog created by kindergarten teacher, Michelle Baldwin. While we're new to her blog, we're a fast follower of Apples and ABC's and couldn't wait to share this spring/Easter themed sorting activity! To go along with their previous lesson on the life cycle of the chicken and their discussion of animals that hatch from eggs {she provides a link to these previous activities in the full post, you should definitely take time to check out as well!}, Michelle created a fun animal sorting game. Concealing pictures of various animals in plastic Easter eggs, she invited her kiddos to take turns opening the eggs and determining which column the animal would fit in - "Hatches From An Egg" or "Does Not Hatch From An Egg".

We know your kiddos will have a fantastic time with this activity! Head on over to see how Michelle set up the exercise and, while you're there, be sure to stick around and see why we're a fan of the blog!
