We found another fun writing activity created by Natalie of Teachery Tidbits that would be perfect for your Seuss unit! Seuss's well-known characters, Thing 1 and Thing 2, are known for their wacky antics and their ability to bring chaos wherever they go. Natalie suggests having your students write a creative piece on what they would do if these crazy characters showed up at their house! To go with the adorable writing exercise, Natalie has her kiddos mount their final draft onto a construction paper Thing craft! The result is adorable and would look great on a Seuss themed bulletin board. The best part of this lesson, Natalie sells the template and writing prompt at her Teachers Pay Teachers store if you don't have time to make your own - check out her blog for the link!
