Is Sensitivity Heightened On Your Dominant Side?

Middle School Science Fair Project

Created by Megan Doyle of Education.com, this science fair project is perfect for middle school students who are interested in life science! Have you ever noticed that your dominant hand tends to be more coordinated and stronger than your non-dominant hand? Aware of these common differences that can be observed in dominant and non-dominant sides, Megan wondered if there might also be a difference in sensitivity - specifically, if a person's dominant hand is more sensitive to cold than their non-dominant hand - and she designed a test to find out.

This project is great because you don't have to rush out and purchase extra supplies; all you need is a bowl, water, ice, a stopwatch, and willing test subjects!
