If you're in a bind, Allison of No Time For Flash Cards has put together a fabulous St. Patrick's Day showcase - featuring fifteen fantastic crafts and activities that we know your kiddos will love! Here are a few of our favorites...

  • Lucky Gold Hunt. Help your kiddos brush up on their counting skills with this fun game! Hide gold coins all around the classroom and set your students loose, inviting them to find a specific number of pieces. Allison suggests providing each child with a game mat to fill up so that your kiddos can easily keep track how many pieces they've collected.
  • Potato Printing. Your students will be amazed that something that normally belongs in the kitchen can be such good fun at craft time! Have your kiddos experiment making prints with both paint and ink pads, perhaps introducing several other fruits and vegetables {celery, carrots, oranges, etc.} for print comparisons...
  • Rainbow Gelatin. This is our favorite by far! Delight your kiddos' little hands with a sensory tub full of squishy, sticky, giggly jello! In rainbow colors for St. Patrick's Day, consider hiding plastic shamrocks or gold coins for your students to search for, sort, and count!
