Updating Your File Folder Games

If you're in need of some quick, educational 'busy-work' for your preschoolers to do before class starts or between activities, folder games that promote matching and sorting skills are a great addition to the classroom. They're simple to create, easy to store, and can provide plenty of fun!

Supplies You'll Need
- File folder
- Card stock
- Teacher stickers Begin by selecting a package of stickers that are both colorful and meaningful to your students. For fun, you might decide to use their favorite television or movie character. If you're aiming for a greater educational challenge you may decide to go with shapes or specific colors, even letters or numbers. Most sticker packages come with at least two identical sheets; one sheet should be stuck directly to the file folder, while the second should be fastened onto card stock and cut apart to create individual cards.
