Check out this adorably colorful bulletin board created by our talented Facebook fan, Kristyn May Appel! As we approach Thanksgiving and reflect on all of the things we have to be thankful for, let your kiddos know that they have a special place on your blessings list - reminding them that they're 'something to crow about' - with this fun craft and vibrant bulletin board!

Something To Crow About!

  • Background: Yellow bulletin board paper.
  • Title: "Something To Crow About in __________ [Room 203, Kindergarten, Mrs. Nelson's Class]!" or "Our Students Are Something To Crow About!", etc.
  • Border: Fall or Thanksgiving theme trimmer.
  • Decoration: 1) The Fence. Cut long strips of brown bulletin board paper, attaching them to the board to fashion fence-like structure. 2) The Scarecrows. Get your kiddos involved! We found a cute scarecrow template over at Gramma Lowe's Halloween Fun that could be enlarged, printed onto colored paper, cut out and assembled. We also found a tutorial for creating paper plate scarecrow's over at Kaboose that will add a little pizzazz to your craft! Fun patches created from patterned scrapbook paper and some actual straw in strategic places (i.e. at the wrists, ankles, etc.) will add nice finishing touches to your scarecrows! Print students' names on the hats and arrange in rows on the bulletin board.
