Working with a partner, have your kiddos build an ice cream cone! Provided with a cone shape and ten scoops of 'ice cream', invite students to assemble the cone then count by 10s and label each scoop. Maureen Spell of Spell Outloud has a FREE ice cream cone template that would work great for this activity!

Assemble a Giant Pizza

On a giant 'pizza crust', created with one large circle cut from brown bulletin board paper and one slightly smaller circle cut from red bulletin board paper, have students 100 add construction paper toppings. Mrs. Lee's kiddos added cheese, pepperoni, peppers, olives, and mushrooms, but of course, you can create your own combination!

[NOTE: We did a quick search for pizza topping templates and found a pattern over at Texas State Library that includes a pepperoni, olive, mushroom, pepper, and pineapple shape if you're not interested in creating your own topping shapes!]

Also, here's a free worksheet to help your kiddos analyze/write about their creation!

Make a giant 'gumball machine' cutout from bulletin board paper. Mrs. Lee cut a large yellow circle and created a simple base from black bulletin board paper. For a more authentic look, you might consider cutting the circle from light blue bulletin board paper and the base from red bulletin board paper!

To complete the activity, provide your kiddos with 100 construction paper 'gumballs' and have them count and decorate the machine!

Here's a fun FREE extension worksheet to pair with the activity!
