Looking for a fun sensory exercise for Valentine's Day? Check out this fun post over at Make, Do & Friend where Charlotte and her little one used oodles of great ingredients to concoct their own Valentine's Day perfumes! Yes, the pouring, shaking, measuring, sprinkling, and stirring is sure to be a bit messier than your usual sensory play station, but if you have a water table {or even a large underbed storage tub} and some drop cloths, we think this would make a fabulous hands-on holiday science activity!

Supplies for your perfume shop...

  • Recycled plastic vials, bottles, and jars
  • Pipettes or medicine droppers
  • Craft sticks or coffee stirrer sticks
  • Measuring spoons and cups
  • Glitter
  • Silk rose petals
  • Essentials oils
  • Red food coloring

These "ingredients" should get your perfume shop started! Of course, you can add other items as you think of them!
