Ordinal Number Puzzles
To compliment the printables from yesterday, you might consider setting out these simple ordinal number puzzles that will help your kiddos familiarize themselves with both the number/word formats of the first ten ordinals. A great way to reinforce the new concept and vocabulary, begin by printing two copies, keeping one set whole for students to use as a puzzle mat, and cutting the second set apart, creating individual puzzle pieces for students to work at matching to their proper place on the board. Once they're familiar with the activity, remove the puzzle 'mats', inviting students to work from memory to match up the individual puzzle pieces and place the completed puzzles in order {first through tenth}.
