We stumbled across this awesome DIY earthworm habitat tutorial over at We-Made-That.com and thought it might make a fun project for you and your kinders to tackle this Earth Day! While they may seem small and insignificant, worms play an important role in creating rich soil and promoting plant growth. Not only do they eat soil, leaving behind nutrients that aid in plant growth, their tunneling also aerates the soil which helps plants get the oxygen they need to grow!

Yucky Worms!
