Fun Games for Kids

Have you seen NBC's hit game show, "Minute to Win It", where contestants tackle unique challenges in an attempt to win $1,000,000? The caveat, of course, is that they only have sixty seconds to complete each challenge. It can be quite entertaining and, if you're looking for some fun last day/week activities to do with your kiddos, might we suggest a little competition of your own?

The good news is it doesn't have to be anything fancy. This past Valentine's Day my preschool kiddos and I had a candy heart stacking challenge - i.e. who can stack the most candy hearts in sixty seconds. It was a blast! Not only was it fun to see the problem solving that went into stacking each piece and the fine motor building, we also had a lot of fun counting and comparing. In the end, it wasn't just a game!

We stumbled across these great posts over at Housing a Forest and thought it might offer a great start for putting together your own set of Minute to Win It games! Whether you have your kiddos work individually or in teams, we know it will be a memorable experience!
