This Dr. Seuss inspired craft from Mary of Mrs. Lirette's Learning Detectives is utterly adorable and we think it would make a fun addition to your plans for Read Across America. Simple to assemble, all you'll need in order to create Horton is lavender or gray construction paper, a paper plate, gray craft paint, and a gray sock. And, created from chenille stems and pom poms, the clover is just as easy!

Consider using this Seuss-tastic craft to help you tell the story of Horton and the village of Whos he discovers. And later, you might also have your kiddos use their Horton crafts to do a little storytelling of their own! We know they'll have a blast!
