Colorful Watercolor Leaves for Fall!

Fall Leaf Craft for Kids

Check out these gorgeous water color leaves from Sheryl Cooper over at Teaching 2 and 3 Year Olds! A traditional fall craft, we love that it'll provide some fun color for your classroom or home {a cute bulletin board border, perhaps?}, as well as some fine motor building for your little crafters!

Whether you use art tissue paper or coffee filters it makes no difference. For younger kiddos, skip the frustrating cutting step and provide them with pre-cut leaf shapes. However, for older crafters, drawing and cutting their own leaves is a fine exercise. Ready with their leaves, provide your kiddos with pipettes and liquid watercolors! Notice how Sheryl and her kiddos' leaves look sort-of tie-dyed? She shares her secret for creating this effect over at her blog, so be sure to visit!!
