Even if you don't live near the beach, you and your kiddos can create fun sand castles this summer! The best part is they're permanent! Rather than getting washed away in the surf, you can use these fun sand creations from Preschool Crafts for Kids as decorations or store them as keepsakes - a reminder of a fun family vacation or day spent together.

Supplies You'll Need

  • Recycled containers {i.e. plastic tubs, yogurt containers, etc.} and paper plates
  • Sand
  • Wheat paste {see Preschool Crafts for Kids for the recipe!}
  • Water
  • Collected decorations - rocks, seashells, driftwood, beads, drinking straws, paper pennants, etc.

Before creating actual molds to stack and decorate, we suggesting inviting your kiddos to sort through the various collected containers, perhaps stacking them in different combinations, in order to get the size and shape they envision. Then, let the sand castle building begin!
