Winter Snowman Kids Craft

It's hard to believe it's almost December again! As the winter season approaches with the promise of blustery weather and snow, here's an adorable craft to put on your to-do list. We found it on Pinterest {and couldn't get to the credited site for a link}, but we thought we'd pass it along!

Supplies You'll Need

Here's how we would tackle the project...

  1. Use the white craft paint to paint the wooden craft ball and set aside to dry.
  2. Once dry, attach the painted ball to the bottom of the cup with craft glue and use a small paint brush to add the face - two black eyes, a "carrot" nose, and a mouth! Again, set aside to dry.
  3. While the face dries, use craft scissors to cut the tube sock. You'll want a good 3-inches to work with. Be sure to start at the top of the "tube" in order to get the elastic band. Fit the elastic band of the sock around the top of the wooden ball {flipping the bottom up to look like the band of a knit hat, optional}, then use the rubber band to gather the sock material together about and inch from the band. Fan out the leftover material at the top of the rubber band or use scissors to fringe it!
  4. Tie a piece of fabric around the snow person's neck - where the wooden craft ball meets the bottom of the cup - and fringe the bottom of the newly created "scarf" {optional}.
  5. Decorate the front of the snow person with buttons {and other craft embellishment as desired}.

This looks like such a fun winter craft - we're certain your kiddos will love it!
