Fall Fingerpainting - Create an Autumn Tree

We just love the colors of fall - reds, oranges, yellows, golds, and browns - all mixed together to create a beautiful natural landscape! Add a bit of autumn to your craft station with one of these fun fall tree fingerpainting projects! The theory is the same, but each craft offers a unique take on the project!

Variation #1: Hand Print & Fingerprint Tree

In this project from Amanda Formaro of Kaboose students get their whole arm into the painting process, creating the trunk and tree limbs from their arm and hand, and filling the branches with fingerprint leaves in various autumn colors. If you mount the finished product onto pieces of colored construction paper, they'll look great on the classroom walls!

Variation #2: Toilet Paper Roll Fall Tree

For a three-dimensional variation {and less mess since your kiddos won't be dipping their whole arm into the paint}, create this adorable fall tree craft from the creators of All Kids Network. They'll still get some sensory fun, creating fingerprint fall leaves, as well as build their fine motor coordination as they cut out the tree top template from the recycled cereal box. The finished products would look great sitting along the windowsill or a book shelf!
