Ever thought of doing a camping theme in your classroom? We stumbled across this adorable door display created by the talented Cara Carroll of The First Grade Parade and were inspired by the fun patterns, cute photos, and positive message. If you're trying out a camping/wilderness theme this year, we think this would make an excellent welcome display!

We Are Happy Campers!

  • Background: Natural brown butcher paper.
  • Title: "We Are Happy Campers!"
  • Border: Complimentary patterned bulletin board trimmer.
  • Decoration: Not only is this board cute, it's actually pretty simple to construct too! You'll need paper (camouflage scrapbook paper, brown card stock, and black card stock), craft glue or glue tape, a stapler, and scissors to create the tents. Visit the original post to see how Cara used the materials to create each tent! Then for the finishing touch, have a photo shoot with your students, inviting them to pose with their chin in their hands, and print the photos, clip away the background, and glue a picture to each tent cutout. As an optional step, use colorful name tags to print student names beneath each tent!
