We found this utterly adorable writing craftivity and bulletin board idea over at The Learning Tree and thought, since next Monday is Earth Day, if you were looking for a fun lesson/display, this would make a wonderful addition to your plans! The owls offer a cutesy and cheerful theme to help you finish out the year, and the writing prompt is a great way to get your kiddos thinking about their part in taking care of the Earth!

Give A Hoot... Don't Pollute!

When it comes to creating the display, there is a lot of inspiration floating around out there on Pinterest and in the blogosphere! We envision something similar to one of these fabulous displays...

Our only suggestion/addition; since it's for Earth Day and you'll likely be discussing pollution, recycling, and other topics, you might consider using recycled newsprint to cover your bulletin, painting it with a coat (or two!) of watered down blue craft paint to create the 'sky'! It offers a fun mixed-media appearance and shows first-hand how every day items can be repurposed!
