Goals for 2013

New Years Writing Activity, Craft, and Bulletin Board Idea
Example hot air balloon craftivity

Invite your students to reflect on what they did well in the first half of the year as well as take a look at areas where they might need improvement. Reading comprehension. Turning in homework on time. Whatever it might be, have your students write down two or three specific things they'd like to work on the last half of the year.

To display their new goals for 2013, have your students complete a hot air balloon craftivity. We linked to a fun template that we created for a previous post {you can find the full feature here --> Up, Up and Away! | Summer Bulletin Board Idea}. Our only suggestion would be to use the template to create miniature booklets where, when folded along the side or top, the balloon serves as the cover and the inside can be used to display student goals.
