Fall In Love With Learning! - Fall Bulletin Board Idea

Fall Bulletin Board Idea

Talented Facebook follower, Sheena Harish, created this vibrant and festive fall bulletin board for her class. We love the color contrast of the leaves and tree trunk - and,  of course, adding the students' photos to the leaf cutouts offers a fun way to personalize the board!

Fall In Love With Learning!

  • Background: Cover the entire board with yellow background paper adding a strip of brown bulletin board paper, cut to look like a patch of dirt, to the bottom of the board.
  • Title: "Fall In Love With Learning!"
  • Border: Use a fall themed trimmer or create your own like Sheena did using leaf cutouts, etc.
  • Decoration: 1) The Tree. Cut a strip of black or dark brown bulletin board paper, scrunching it up and mounting it to the left side of the board to create the tree trunk. Fashion tree branches by twisting more strips of the same paper into long 'ropes' and arranging them around the trunk. As a finishing touch, purchase fall leaf accents or create your own from colorful card stock and place the leaves on and around the tree. [NOTE: Add your students' photos to some of the leaf cutouts and add them in and around the tree.] 2) The Pumpkin Patch. Draw pumpkins onto orange construction paper or find a pumpkin template/coloring page and print it onto the orange paper. For visual interest, draw/print pumpkins of different sizes. Cut out and arrange the pumpkin shapes on the bulletin board, braiding long pieces of green yarn together to create a vine and adding green leaf cutouts {or green silk leaves!} to complete the patch!
