Bushels of Apple Fun! - September Bulletin Board Idea

September Bulletin Board Idea

Kelley Smith, first grade teacher at Union Hill School, created these adorable apple themed bulletin boards and we think they would make a perfect addition to your classroom decor this fall! Not to mention, they would go perfectly with any Johnny Appleseed Day lessons you have planned. The best part is your kiddos will do most of the decorating!

Apple Glyphs

A colorful math lesson, Kelley had her kiddos to answer various apple related questions and display their answers visually with glyphs which doubled as decorations for her bulletin board design!

Apple Facts & Glyphs

  • Background: Black bulletin board paper.
  • Title: "Bushels of Apple Fun!"
  • Border: Apple themed trimmer.
  • Decoration: Use your kiddos apple glyphs! Be sure to display the glyph key so that visitors and fellow students can have fun learning more about the kiddos in your class! [NOTE: We love the Johnny Appleseed accent hand-created by Kelley. Use scraps of background paper and construction paper to fashion your own accent, if desired, adding three-dimensional elements like yarn for the hair and gingham fabric for the jaunty kerchief!]
