This super cute behavior management design idea comes from Michele Callow {via Pinterest}. Perfect for the early childhood classroom, we love the overarching theme with it's catchy slogan and well-executed design as well as the fact that this board can be tailored to fit your own behavior management strategy!

Don't Walk The Plank

  • Background: Cover the bulletin board with barn wood bulletin board paper to represent the 'hull' of the pirate ship.
  • Title: "Don't Walk The Plank!"
  • Border: Add an ocean waves border to the bottom of the board.
  • Decoration: 1) The Pirate. Freehand the pirate onto white bulletin board paper or find a clip art image online to enlarge and trace using your classroom projector system. Color the elements and add detailing using craft paint and markers. 2) The Plank. Create a plank cutout from scraps of brown bulletin board paper or construction paper. 3) The Shark. Cut a shark fin from gray construction paper, fitting it behind the ocean waves border.
