Can you believe it's almost December?! We feel a little funny switching gears - talking about snow and Christmas when it's not even Thanksgiving yet - but it pays to be prepared! We found this bulletin board idea over at Amazing Preschool Activities and thought it would make a fun transition board/activity as the winter season draws near!

"I Like Winter" Hot Cocoa Craft

Provide each of your students with a square of colored paper and matching mug handle cutout. Once assembled, provide your students with some decorating inspiration - bring in a selection of your favorite holiday mugs or pull some pictures from the internet to help your kiddos decide what they'd like on their mug. Then get started, providing your students with colorful, patterned craft paper, scissors, glitter, glue, and other craft embellishments. [NOTE: Don't forget the mini marshmallows and wisps of gray "steam" for the top!] As the projects dry, have your students brainstorm a list of things they like about winter, selecting their very favorite and penning it onto an index card or specialty paper to display with their mug of hot cocoa!
