We thought this bulletin board from Phyllis, design contributor at Bulletin Boards for the Music Classroom, would be perfect for the fall season! The kiddos get to create a fun craft and we love that the pumpkins look like they've been "carved"!

"Carving" Pumpkins

Provide your students with brown, green, orange, and yellow construction paper. Invite them to draw and cut out a pumpkin shape from the orange paper or provide them with a pumpkin template to trace. On the yellow construction paper, have your students draw what they want "carved" onto the face of their pumpkin - their name, their favorite animal, a Halloween figure, etc. When happy with the result, invite your students to cut out the image and glue it to their pumpkin cutout, adding a stem cut from the green construction paper and mounting the entire pumpkin onto the brown paper.

• Title: "Gourd-geous Students!"
• Border: Halloween or fall themed trimmer.
• Decoration: Use your students' carved pumpkin crafts!
