Best of the Bunch - Apple Themed Welcome Bulletin Board & Door Decoration

Hartville Elementary SchoolSeveral weeks ago, I had the extreme privilege of visiting my childhood elementary school to check out the newest and best in classroom decorations! Despite their busy schedules - meetings and last minute preparations before school started the next day - the gracious teachers at Hartville Elementary welcomed me into their colorful and engaging world; a world in which they will spend countless hours the next 180 days, impacting the lives of the children in our community. I thank you all for dedicating your lives to helping our children grow, both as students and individuals. Here's to a brilliant school year, ladies and gents! {And thanks a million for allowing me the opportunity to visit your classrooms! I had a blast!}

Next stop, the first grade floor! As you walk down the stairs from the second and third grade classes, Mrs. Nalepa's awesome apple inspired welcome displays come into view! With such a fun and colorful outside, we couldn't wait to see the inside of the classroom! Karla didn't disappoint - but you'll have to wait and see pictures of the inside tomorrow. Till then, here are her stellar welcome boards...

Best of the Bunch

We think it's great that Mrs. Nalepa used a traditional back-to-school apple theme - just because it's traditional doesn't mean it can't be done with a cute twist! The adorably fun bulletin board set Karla used really pops when added to the black background. We just love the cutesy pattern and think this door display is just the right way to let her kiddos know that they're the "best of the bunch!"

The Giving Tree

Teachers not only commit their time to the classroom, they also commit a lot of their own resources to stocking their classrooms for the school year. Educators at Hartville Elementary have begun inviting parents to help with classroom needs if they feel led, creating "wish lists" of sorts and inviting parents/guardians to provide items if they can. We love Mrs. Nalepa's take on the list - to go along with her apple theme, she created a "giving tree", writing her classroom needs on apple cutouts for parents to "pick" and fulfill.
