Ocean Theme Kindergarten Bulletin Board
Photo Source: Classroom Displays & Bulletin Boards

Use this creative bulletin board designed by Mrs. Bosque, kindergarten teacher and contributor to Classroom Displays and Bulletin Boards, to welcome new students to your class or invite your students to think about a new topic! It's simple to create and will provide a colorful addition to your classroom walls.

Dive In Bulletin Board

  • Background: Blue or black bulletin board paper to create ocean water and brown bulletin board paper cut unevenly to create a sandy ocean floor.
  • Title: "Dive In and Explore ___________!"(Preschool, Kindergarten, Math, Contractions, etc.)
  • Border: Sea-themed or plain blue bulletin board trimmer.
  • Decorations: You can use pre-made ocean themed cut outs or use construction paper to create the undersea elements (e.g. coral, seaweed, sea anemones, fish, turtles, octopus, treasure chest, whale, etc.). If you're welcoming a new group of students to your class, write each of their names on a sea creature or gold coin in the treasure chest, etc. If you're inviting your students to get excited about a new subject, write related concepts or examples on the animals (e.g. for math, write fractions, decimals, percentages, etc. on the creatures).

We'd love to know how you welcome your students to class or how you get them excited about learning. Be sure to leave us a comment and let us know!
